Outreach to Mexico
Individual congregations can do outreach projects on the local front which also support outreach in the international ministry centers, specifically Mexico. Melissa Solomon, Ministry Director in Mexico has provided a list of supplies needed for the many projects that give mercy and compassion while extending the Gospel to those who live in Mexico.
1. For children (so they can stay in school): School supplies (backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pencil sharpener, scissors, erasers, glue (liquid and glue stick), pens, colored pencils, markers, construction paper, plastic rulers)
2. For single mothers and community groups: vitamins, Tylenol (children & adults), Neosporin, Band-Aids.
3. For community workshops and training: toothbrushes, toothpaste, dental floss.
4. For the “Cristo Para Todas Las Naciones” [Christ for All Nations]) Miriam and Mareli Community Center: hand sanitizers, construction paper, glue (liquid and glue sticks), board games (as long as English not necessary…e.j. Jenga, Chinese Sticks) balls (playground) and jacks, playdoh, jump ropes.
5. Community Elder Groups and Single Mother Groups craft activities: Pens, crepe paper.
