Central New York Zone
"Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light." Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV) The Central New York Zone's primary mission outreach, is the New York State Fair booth, which continues to shine amidst an environment of "free enterprise." The booth ministry, which began in 1950, provides Christian tracts, New Testaments and Children’s Scripture Activity books. Since 1971, over 56,000 New Testaments have been distributed at the New York State Fair. Since 1987, over 65,000 Children’s Scripture Activity books have been distributed. Of the four Children’s Scripture Activity books (the Gospels of Matthew, Luke, John and Acts), Luke has been translated into Spanish for Fair distribution and John has been translated into Russian and is used in other evangelism efforts.
