Eastern District Lutheran Laymen's League
For it is by grace you have
been saved, through faith-
and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works, so that no one can boast. For we are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do. Ephesians 2:8-10 (NIV)
The Eastern District is one of 43 districts in the Int'l Lutheran Laymen's League. Together the districts seek ways to accomplish Int'l Lutheran Laymen's League's mission statement: "Bringing Christ to the Nations -- and the Nations to the Church." Lutheran Hour Ministries, with headquarters in St. Louis, is a service of the International Lutheran Laymen's League (Int'l LLL) a volunteer organization. The Int'l LLL is an auxiliary of The Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod and Lutheran Church-Canada. The Eastern District Lutheran Laymen's League is holding its District convention September 10-12, 2004 at Concordia Lutheran Church, Brockport, NY.
