A Young Adult (YA) Servant’s event will be held Saturday, September 14, 2002 at Pioneer, Camp and Retreat Center, 9324 Lakeshore Road, Angola, NY. The Servant’s Event is in conjunction with the Eastern District Lutheran Laymen's League (LLL) convention. Young Adults (ages 19 – 35) will have the opportunity to meet with Gerald Perschbacher, editor of "The Lutheran Layman," for the Int'l LLL in St Louis, MO. The only cost for the event is for camp’s lunch and dinner (Note: YA’s may bring their own food).
Young Adults are needed as YA zone and church representatives. Zone representatives will be responsible for notifying the District YA Coordinator of zone activities. Church representatives will be responsible for publicizing YA events in their churches (e.g. via the pastor, church secretary, bulletin, bulletin boards, and newsletters).
The Young Adult Coordinator will be promoting YA activities at the Central NY Zone Rally, Saturday, October 19th at Zion Lutheran Church, Owego.
